METHOD:
Roller
THEORETICAL COVERAGE:
12-15 m2 / litre
DRYING TIME:
Touch Dry – 15 minutes at 30°C
Hard Dry – 3 hours at 30°C
OVERCOATING TIME:
Minimum 4 hours at 30 °C (drying time will be prolong during cold, wet or humid conditions)
New or Rusted Metal Surfaces
Remove rust and any unstable matter by power brushing or sand paper. The surface must be clean and dry, free from grease, oil, loose rust and other foreign matter. To enhance anti-corrosion performance, apply Crystalux A/C Primer prior to application of Metallux
Painted Ferrous Metal Surfaces
Sand the painted surface to remove any unstable matter. The surface must be clean and dry, free from grease, oil, loose rust and other foreign matter. Test for compatibility with existing paint by painting a small area first. Remove all paint to bare metal by all suitable means if there are signs of incompatibility prior to application of Metallux.
Non – Ferrous Metal Surfaces
Clean and remove any oil or grease, soluble salts and other forms of dirt. The bare metal must be primed with a coat of Hi-Vinyl 1102 CF Etching Primer before application of Metallux.
Wood
Ensure wood is dry, clean, free from oil and grease. Ensure moisture of wood is not more than 10%. Apply 1 coat of Crystalux Aluminium Wood Primer before application of Metallux.
Plastic (PVC)
Ensure surface is dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Light sanding can be done to enhance adhesion.
